Kett Tool Company is a long-standing manufacturer of specialty power tools based in Cincinnati, Ohio. They are seeking a Quality Inspector I to perform inspections on incoming, in-process, and final materials/components to ensure they meet required quality specifications.

Responsibilities

Inspect and measure incoming materials/components using established quality standards and documentation for each part

Inspect and measure start-up and in-process components using established quality standards and documentation for each

Inspect and measure final components and products using established quality standards and documentation for each part

Read engineering drawings and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the product and supplies

Approve or reject parts based on quality requirements

Assist Quality Engineer in performing First Article inspections as needed

Assist Quality Engineer and other management personnel in identifying in-process or supplier trends

Assist Quality Engineer and other engineering/management personnel in identifying opportunities for improving processes and procedures related to quality and material flow

Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, industry specifications and work instructions

Basic knowledge of measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore micrometers, height gauges, etc
