Responsibilities

Provide clinical education and hands-on training to cardiac sonographers, students, and new hires
Oversee competency assessments, skills development, and continuing education for the Echo department
Collaborate with department leaders to ensure regulatory compliance, quality standards, and staff preparedness
Serve as a mentor and subject matter expert for new technologies, protocols, and procedures
Assist with program development and partnerships with schools, externships, and outreach efforts
Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound studies as needed to support team operations

Required

Graduate from an accredited cardiac sonography program or have practiced as a sonographer for greater than 2 years
Must be a Registered Cardiac Sonographer with Cardiovascular Credentialing International or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (Adult)
Must be a registered Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) or obtain within 24 months of hire
BLS certification
Cardiology Echo: 2 years practicing as a sonographer

Preferred

Bachelors
ACLS (Adult)
5 years practicing as a sonographer
