Junior to Mid-level Engineer – Civil | Ecological | Water Resources
Designgreen is hiring a Junior to Mid-level Engineer to work on sustainable solutions for water on projects spanning transportation, utilities, public space design, and site development. The role involves supporting projects related to drainage, stormwater and flood management, H&H analysis, erosion controls, and green infrastructure design while collaborating across various disciplines.

Responsibilities
Work on stormwater, green infrastructure, drainage, flood management, and H&H projects
Model hydrologic and hydraulic stormwater performance for existing and proposed conditions
Develop civil engineering plans using GIS and Autodesk, MicroStation
Learn and apply knowledge of local, state, and federal design standards
Perform field investigations - measurements, photographs, sketches, verify surveys, identify changes
Obtain permits and approvals from relevant review authorities
Participate in Resiliency Studies, Design Charrettes, Master Planning
Research and write reports on project findings and relevant policy topics
Stay current on industry trends and identify new business opportunities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science Engineering
EIT certified
AutoCAD proficient
Office 365 proficient
Strong written and oral communication skills
Interest in innovation and technology
Preferred
3+ years' experience
Project Management
Designing active and post construction stormwater site controls
H&H modeling experience
Familiarity with DC-MD-VA SW manuals, standards and specifications, and compliance tools
