Radiology Tech - Ortho South Practice - FT - Days M-F

Responsibilities
Performs a variety of diagnostic radiographic exams under the supervision of the department Practice Manager and/or physician
Assists with invasive procedures using sterile technique
Utilizes traditional, computerized, and digital radiographic equipment to create high quality diagnostic radiographic images
Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide comprehensive care appropriate to the age of the patients seen in the physician practice where assigned
Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's policies and procedures
Additional responsibilities may include registration, triage and clinical assistance to the physician when needed
Qualification
Required
A graduate of an approved JRCERT radiologic program (The Joint Review Committee/DNV on Education in Radiologic Technology)
Hospital Clinical Experience Required
Basic computer experience (1-2 years work experience or college level classes)
ARRT certified (compliant with all continuing education mandates)
ARRT registry eligible (must complete within one year)
Radiological student from an approved Radiology program that has completed all academic courses (must be registry eligible within three months and complete registry within one year)
BLS completed prior to going to unit/department and maintained going forward
Completion of 4 Hours of Erlanger Online Education specific to Total Ankle, Hip, and Knee Replacement upon hire (will be assigned by Department Leadership and/or Educator)
Preferred
Six months hospital and/or physician office experience
