IntrepidGS is a leading provider of global-scale logistics and advanced professional services. They are seeking a Cybersecurity SME to support critical government and intelligence initiatives through risk management and cybersecurity frameworks.
Defense & Space
Responsibilities
Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments and vulnerability analyses
Design and implement security frameworks (e.g., NIST, RMF, Zero Trust) for enterprise systems
Develop, evaluate, and refine defense-in-depth strategies and incident response plans
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity regulations
Provide guidance on security architecture and secure system development lifecycle practices
Track emerging threats and propose solutions to reduce cyber risk exposure
Prepare detailed reports and briefings for executive leadership and technical teams
Qualification
Required
High school diploma/GED with 10 years, Associate's with 8 years, Bachelor's with 6 years, Master's with 4 years
Strong background in cybersecurity strategy, risk management, and compliance
Experience with security assessment tools and practices (e.g., Nessus, Splunk, SCAP, STIGs)
Knowledge of federal cybersecurity policies and standards (e.g., FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST SP 800-53)
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience supporting cybersecurity for intelligence or defense systems
Familiarity with cloud security, Zero Trust architecture, and endpoint protection solutions
Background in incident response, penetration testing, or threat intelligence
Experience implementing RMF within classified environments
