Senior Cloud Engineer - Technical Patching Lead
CACI International Inc is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer – Technical Patching Lead to lead their cloud operations team as part of the Datacenter Consolidation and Cloud Optimization program for the Department of Homeland Security. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-native applications while managing cloud solutions and ensuring security and compliance.

Responsibilities
Design and develop applications that are optimized for cloud environments, leveraging cloud-native technologies such as AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, or Google Cloud Functions to handle business logic, data processing, and integration with databases and external systems
Able to write clean, scalable, and maintainable code using programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#
Integrate cloud services and APIs into applications to leverage infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and software as a service (SaaS)
Work with cloud services such as compute instances, databases, storage, messaging, and identity and access management (IAM) to meet application requirements
Automate deployment, provisioning, and management of applications and infrastructure using tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, or Google Cloud Deployment Manager. Implement continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) practices to streamline development and operations processes
Automate and streamline the deployment, operations, and management of cloud-based applications and infrastructure. This includes leveraging DevOps principles, practices, and tools to implement continuous integration, continuous deployment (CI/CD), infrastructure as code (IaC), and automated testing to accelerate development cycles and improve collaboration between development and operations teams
Engineer, install, maintain, configure, and optimize server operating systems (Windows and Linux) and hosted applications hosted in the AWS and Azure Cloud environments
Perform analysis for collaboration of network / system needs and participate in planning, designing, upgrading and deployment using a project-based timeline
Apply appropriate security measures to properly safeguard government systems by implementing industry standard best practices and DHS mandated mitigations
Design, build, test, and deploy highly scalable and resilient cloud-based applications on private and public cloud
Qualification
Required
Ability to obtain TS/SCI DoD Security Clearance (active TS preferred)
Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Entry on Duty (EOD) - Active EOD preferred
BA/BS and 10 years' experience in a related field, or equivalent (equivalency includes MA + 7 years applicable experience or AA + 12 years applicable experience)
At least one senior level Azure or AWS certification (i.e., Azure Developer Associate/Solutions Architect Expert, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate/Certified Developer Associate)
Demonstrated experience with designing and developing cloud applications using cloud-native tools
Demonstrated experience with programming and infrastructure automation (JSON, YAML, Python, Terraform, Ansible)
Demonstrated experience implementing Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) for various systems
Demonstrated experience with core cloud services to include DevSecOps, monitoring, data visualization, and environment management services
Experience with Microsoft Project, JIRA, and Confluence
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Advanced MS Office Suite proficiency (Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
Preferred
Previous DHS or DoD experience
Any of the following certifications is highly desired: AWS, Azure, ITIL Foundation, Other IT technical certifications
