Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is offering an unpaid internship through the DoD SkillBridge Program for transitioning active-duty US military personnel. The intern will train as a Combat Systems Test Engineer, gaining hands-on experience with naval combat systems and contributing to ongoing projects within the Global Security group.

Responsibilities

Actively train on meaningful projects and work closely with a mentor and with senior company leadership

Gain in-depth knowledge of key naval combat systems, including Interior and Exterior Communication Systems, SHF Communication Systems, EHF Communication Systems, HF Communication Systems, Digital Multiplexing Radio (DMR), and HFRG

Develop proficiency in producing engineering documentation and reports, creating technical drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, schematics), and performing mathematical calculations and data analysis

Learn and apply combat systems test methodologies, troubleshooting techniques for electronic systems, and quality assurance processes in naval engineering

Participate in ongoing projects and be assigned special tasks as needed to enhance learning experience and contribute to the team's objectives

Complete a capstone project integrating learned skills and present project findings to team leaders
