Technical Leader (Environmental Assessment & Remediation)

They are seeking a Technical Leader for their Environmental Assessment and Remediation practice to manage and mentor teams, ensuring projects meet client satisfaction while adhering to technical requirements and budget constraints.

Responsibilities
Understand, protect and promote our empathetic, people-focused culture in all aspects of the business
Understand and implement complex technical requirements for client projects while managing, directing and mentoring teams of engineers, scientists and field staff to meet client satisfaction and ensure projects are delivered safely and within scope, schedule and budget
Serve as an inter-disciplinary team member in meetings and communications with clients pertaining to specific projects/tasks
Prepare and/or review work plans, specifications, sampling and analysis plans, feasibility studies, and remedial action plans for project implementation
Prepare environmental permit applications (e.g., air permitting, wastewater discharge permitting, etc.)
Conduct analysis of environmental data from complex environmental and/or hydrogeologic investigations and develop technical reports
Maintain a high external profile through membership/attendance in industry organizations and continually growing a contact base
Qualification
Required

Proven ability to build strong partnerships and relationships both internally and externally
Bachelor's degree in Civil/ Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or Geology - Advanced degree is preferred
A minimum of 12-15 years of experience in the engineering consulting industry
Registered as a Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist preferred
Demonstrated success in project and client management
Thorough understanding of U.S. EPA regulations, State environmental regulations for various states, and other standards/regulations affecting the regulated community
Experience with preparing regulatory work plans and reports for investigation, remediation, and closure; working knowledge of methods and procedures for site characterization, hydrogeologic analysis and remediation of contaminants in soil, soil vapor, indoor air; and groundwater understanding of multimedia remedial technologies for addressing a variety of contaminants

Registered as a Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist preferred
