LPN/LVN - Pre-Admission Testing

Responsibilities
Responsible for covering clinical offices based on operational need
Assists in the examination and treatment of patients, take vital signs, record patient charges, record patient history, assist in minor office procedures
Participate in patient education, communicating effectively with others and functioning in the scope of practice
Thorough knowledge of infection control and aseptic techniques
Position duties may include but are not limited to assessing and preparing patients for upcoming surgical procedures, coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare providers to address potential risks or special considerations, and ensuring patients are optimized for anesthesia and surgery
Cooperates in the cross training of this position to ensure coverage at all times for all offices
Functions in the LVN scope of practice and Riverside Medical Clinic policies and procedures
Responsible for ensuring all expired sample medications and patient supplies are discarded upon expiration date
Maintains current California LVN licensure and BLS certificate
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
Current California licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse
Graduate of accredited school of Licensed Vocational Nursing
Current California LVN License
Current AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association Certification
IV Certification required
Preferred
Two years' experience preferred working as an LVN in a multi-specialty group setting
Thorough knowledge of anesthesia protocol and strong clinical judgement preferred
Current ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - American Heart Association preferred
