Child Development Center Assistant (CDC Temporary, Non-Student)
Bob Jones University is seeking a Child Development Center Assistant to support full-time staff in the classroom. The role involves assisting in the implementation of daily curriculum and ensuring the safety and well-being of children.

Responsibilities
Assist in implementation of daily curriculum that provides social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and spiritual experiences for the children in the classroom
Follow proper safety guidelines to ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times
Perform assigned responsibilities, duties, and tasks according to established practices, procedures and techniques
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices of young children
Ability to provide guidance for young children
Ability to work with children and move quickly, assist and supervise young children, lift children, equipment and supplies, and hear and see at a distance
Exhibit patience, creativity, flexibility, enthusiasm and stamina
15 clock hours of training annually pertaining to growth and development, curriculum, health and safety and professional development
Bloodborne Pathogens and Right to Know training as required by federal law
Successful completion of background checks, physical and PPD (TB skin test)
Able to constantly lift/carry up to 50 lbs
Able to constantly push/pull up to 25 lbs
Able to stand and walk constantly
At least 18 years of age
Consistently model Christlike attitude and demeanor with staff, children and parents
High School Graduate or GED
Preferred
Associate's or bachelor's degree in childcare or education preferred
One to two years related experience preferred
