Responsibilities

Administer FEMA disaster recovery programs and develop related policies, guidance, job aids and training to support the recovery of individuals and communities affected by disasters
Overseeing all management aspects of an allocated team and projects, that include developing, coaching and ensuring accountability of individual and group performance plans
Providing expert Individuals and Households program advise to maintain clear and consistent guidance
Leading the coordination with stakeholders for better communication, collaboration and resource sharing
Performing analysis of the program and processes for effectiveness and recommend improvements

You must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this position

You must be able to deploy with little or no advance notice to anywhere in the United States and its territories for an extended period of time
To qualify for this Supervisory Emergency Management Specialist (Recovery) position at the IC-13 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal government
Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following: articulating policies and explaining technical aspects of programs to affected individuals, performing technical writing functions, requiring knowledge of the Individuals and Households Program, overseeing project management and performance plans, including leading a team to ensure accountability
