Assembly & Test Mechanic: Off Shift (K615)

Responsibilities
Assembles and tests production units associated with the Traditional Pumps Dept
Troubleshoot, teardown, and repair units due to failure or customer return
Assures compliance with OEM assembly instructions, blueprints, test procedures and/or process requirements with minimal supervision
Sets up and prepares work areas
Must work from complex blueprints and assembly processes
Uses personal computers to obtain and complete proper documentation including, but not limited to, Lotus Notes based programs
Performs de-trash, floor stock maintenance, cycle count of floor stock and initiates associated paperwork for requisition of over/under issue of parts
Performs all sub-assembly operations
Performs all of the final assembly tasks
Performs all test-associated tasks: set-up of test stand, set-up of product, and performing the hydraulic and electrical testing
Performs button-up functions per processes and blueprints
Maintains in good working order tools, jigs, inspection devices and other supplies and performs simple equipment repairs as necessary; including test stand preventative maintenance
Production output shall meet or exceed established standards and shall conform to prescribed quality
Trains fellow employees as required
Shall be capable and shall be willing to be certified and qualified in multiple product families, within 45 days of reaching the top of the wage progression
Participates in 'continuous improvement' and HPT activities/efforts with the classification/department
Qualification
Required
A moderate level of mechanical aptitude is required
Must be able to perform moderate to complex assembly procedures
Must be able to perform the work with minimal supervision
Must be able to work with Supervisors, Quality Engineering, Sustaining Engineering, and Customers in order to correct issues that may arise during production or upon product return from the field
