Get Engaged Media is hiring a Video Editor to focus on short-form content for social platforms including TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. The role involves editing raw footage into polished content while collaborating with internal teams and staying updated on social trends.

Responsibilities
Edit short-form video content (primarily TikTok and Reels) from raw footage, user-generated content (UGC), or motion assets
Apply platform-native editing techniques—cutting to sound, engaging transitions and effects, color correcting, on-screen text animations, sound design, and motion graphics
Maintain a consistent editing style aligned with brand voice and visual identity
Collaborate with content creators, brand teams, and strategists to deliver high-performing social content
Quickly implement feedback and turnaround edits under tight deadlines
Organize and manage media assets and file delivery
Ensure all media is archived appropriately and can be readily obtained
Stay on top of social trends, memes, editing styles, and audio trends—ensuring content feels relevant and current
Contribute new concepts and ideas to help elevate creative output across all projects
Qualification
Required
Experience editing content specifically for social media
Understanding how to make videos feel native to each platform
Ability to edit short-form video content (primarily TikTok and Reels) from raw footage, user-generated content (UGC), or motion assets
Ability to apply platform-native editing techniques—cutting to sound, engaging transitions and effects, color correcting, on-screen text animations, sound design, and motion graphics
Ability to maintain a consistent editing style aligned with brand voice and visual identity

Bachelor's (preferred) or equivalent experience required
Preferred
1–3 years of experience editing short-form content for social platforms (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts, etc.)
Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and basic knowledge of After Effects or mobile-first tools (CapCut, InShot, Splice, etc.)
Strong understanding of social media trends, editing styles, and platform best practices
Portfolio or reel that demonstrates fast-paced, engaging social media content (must include TikTok/Reels examples)
Excellent communication and time management skills
Ability to take feedback and implement quickly
Bonus: experience working with creators, influencers, or in an agency/social media environment
