Responsibilities

Client Assessments: Conduct on-site and virtual risk assessments for commercial lines clients to identify potential hazards and recommend appropriate risk control measures
Risk Control Surveys: Perform thorough inspections and risk control surveys for businesses, ensuring compliance with insurance requirements, safety regulations, and industry best practices
Risk Mitigation Strategies: Develop and implement risk reduction strategies and provide practical advice to clients to minimize exposure to losses, including recommendations for safety programs, training, and corrective actions
Training and Education: Provide clients with safety and loss prevention training on topics such as OSHA compliance, workplace safety, fire prevention, fleet safety, and other industry-specific risks
Report Generation: Prepare detailed reports summarizing risk assessments, recommendations, and compliance status and present findings to clients, underwriters, and insurance agents
Collaboration: Work with insurance carriers, agents, and other stakeholders to address client needs and implement risk management programs
Continuous Learning: Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks in order to provide up-to-date and relevant advice to clients
Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with clients and serve as a trusted advisor in risk control and loss prevention

Required

Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in loss control, risk management, or safety consulting, preferably within the insurance industry
Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, insurance risk control practices, and industry-specific safety standards
Proficiency with risk management software and reporting tools
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and manage multiple client relationships
Organizational and time management skills
Ability to foster and build relationships
Ability to be persuasive
Ability to pass a criminal background check, as permitted by law
Approximately 75% regional travel is required to fulfill job responsibilities

Preferred

ARM, CSP, CRM, or other relevant certifications are preferred
