Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day construction oversight/Resident Engineering Inspection efforts
Will be responsible for business development not limited to New York City DDC/EDC agencies
Provide technical review of construction plans and specifications and project changes for constructability and practicality
Responsible for understanding of staff safety, regulatory compliance, permit compliance and coordination with regulatory agencies
Understanding of monitoring contractor performance, schedule compliance, overall responsiveness, and effectiveness
Exert influence over Contractors to maintain project goals regarding cost, schedule, quality, etc
Manage the Contractor payment process and recommend appropriate adjustments as necessary based on work completed
Use effective oral and written communication skills to lead the progress of the project, safety compliance, adherence to project schedule and conduct meetings with contractor, client, local agencies, and the community
Qualification
Required
15 years' of Construction Management experience
BS in Engineering or Construction Management
Professional Engineer license in New York
Preferred
Prior experience managing large capital improvement projects
Proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
Demonstrated commitment to providing a safe and healthful workplace
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Proficiency with MS Project and the MS Office Suite (particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Ability to manage personnel and remain responsive to corporate requirements
