Responsibilities

Managing their docket of personal injury cases
Filing lawsuits
Conducting depositions
Draft and answer discovery
Prepare clients for depositions, mediations, motion hearings, and trials
Evaluating claims by working with claims representatives
Working in a team environment with paralegals and legal secretaries to propound written discovery requests and responses, order and summarize records, coordinate depositions, obtain experts and prepare for depositions and trials

Required

MUST BE A LICENSED ATTORNEY FOR THE STATE OF TEXAS
Licensed to practice in Texas
Graduated from an accredited law school
Member in good standing of the State Bar of Texas

Effective communication skills
Excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills
Self-motivated with strong negotiating skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
Knowledge and experience to manage and move pending cases forward independently
Ability to litigate claims and take them to trial when necessary
1 year of experience as an attorney (REQUIRED)

Preferred

One to three years of personal injury litigation experience
Strong litigation skills, including discovery, conducting depositions, court appearances, and trial preparation background
