Engineer - NDT III
StandardAero is an industry leader in MRO services and customized solutions in the aerospace field. As an Engineer - NDT III, you will be responsible for leading NDT systems development, ensuring technical adequacy of procedures, and overseeing the training and certification of personnel.

Responsibilities
Have the skills and knowledge to interpret codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the NDT method(s)
Be capable of assuming technical responsibility for the NDT facility and staff
Select the method and technique for a specific inspection when needed with a thorough understanding of alternate NDT Methods, and related repair processes
Be capable of Preparing and verifying the adequacy of procedures and work instructions
Write, approve, and teach NDT procedures and work instructions for technical adequacy
Have a general knowledge of other NDT methods and product manufacturing/repair processes and inspection technologies used
Provide for the training, examination and certification of personnel
Conduct NDT for the acceptance of components as needed
Perform Internal and External Audits as needed
Be accountable for the development of personnel and training programs
Be responsible for the continuous training and oversight of Level 2 inspectors
Be responsible for continuous oversight of processes, equipment and inspection area condition
Ensure that all tooling is correct for the inspections required
Qualification
Required
ASNT Level 3 Certification in a minimum of PT and MT
5+ years working as a Level 3 in an Aerospace setting or equivalent experience
5+ years experience in basic computer and technical writing skills
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average work day
Regularly required to sit and stand for prolonged periods
Preferred
Certification or knowledge of other NDT Methods a Plus
Experience in Etch a Plus
Working knowledge of production management computer system and other related internal control systems
