Mange and manipulate large historical data sets
Implement reusable Gateway functionality
Implement functionality based on defined API
Use and implement library-grade software
Automating quality checks across transactional, market and reference datasets
Ensure clean and efficient coding practices and adherence to industry best practices
Collaborate with traders, quants, and other developers to design and implement efficient and robust solutions
Writing documentation
Qualification
Required
Proven experience managing large financial databases and datasets consisting of real-time and historical data
Excellent communication skills
5+ years working with large financial data sets, such as market data, order/execution data, and/or positions data
5+ years of Kdb+/Q, experience working in a Unix/Linux environment
Superb communication and interpersonal skills/ Confident in communicating with stakeholders
Ability to learn new technologies and business knowledge
Mange and manipulate large historical data sets
Implement reusable Gateway functionality
Implement functionality based on defined API
Use and implement library-grade software
Automating quality checks across transactional, market and reference datasets
Ensure clean and efficient coding practices and adherence to industry best practices
Collaborate with traders, quants, and other developers to design and implement efficient and robust solutions
Writing documentation
Preferred
Other language experience is a bonus i.e Python, Java, Unix/Linux
Experience of agile methodologies will be an advantage
Capital markets experience, e.g. Derivs, Stocks, index, ETFs trading
Proven delivery track record, Cloud experience (e.g. AWS) is preferred
Good team player with a strong desire to participate and help others
Able to bring critical thinking and new ideas to the team
Demonstrates thoroughness and strong ownership of work
