Cost Accountant II

The Cost Accountant II will perform monthly reconciliations, conduct reviews for inventory expenses, and monitor rocket part costs while collaborating with various teams to ensure financial integrity and support costing accuracy.

Responsibilities

Perform monthly reconciliations for inventory on-hand and WIP balance accounts
Conduct timely reviews for inventory period expense and production overhead accounts
Monitor rocket part costs and enter revaluation transactions upon manager approval
Generate general journal entries, as part of regular monthly financial close
Complete monthly variance analyses for P&L and balance sheet accounts
Engage with team members in the Production Operations, Purchasing, Planning, & Engineering on tactical questions projects
Contribute to programs which support costing accuracy and controls
Work with multiple teams on the administration of a company cycle count program

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or Finance
2+ Years of Cost Accounting experience
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Experience with major ERP software
Experience with Dashboard reporting
Knowledge of GAAP
Experience with Work Order Costing

Preferred

Experience with SQL, or other reporting languages
LN Infor experience
Manufacturing experience
Experience in supporting a cycle count program
Familiarity working with Bill of Materials
