Construction Project Manager I

Responsibilities

Support and lead commercial construction projects from design through closeout under the guidance of senior leadership
Coordinate with clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and Superintendents to ensure alignment and execution
Assist with and manage estimating, budgeting, scheduling, buyout, and closeout activities
Champion a Safety-First mindset and help enforce site-specific safety plans
Participate in and help lead project meetings, including kickoff, coordination, and progress meetings
Assist with contract administration, including subcontracts, scope review, and compliance tracking
Track and support project financials including budgets, invoices, change orders, and reporting dashboards
Identify construction and design issues and escalate or resolve them in collaboration with the project team
Support and collaborate with Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, and field leadership
Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams and external partners
Represent Wolverine Building Group with integrity, accountability, and professionalism on every project

Required

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or equivalent construction experience
Approximately 3–5 years of experience in commercial construction project management or a closely related role
Experience supporting or managing varied and intermediate commercial projects
Valid Driver's License
Working knowledge of project management principles, construction means and methods, and critical path scheduling
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software such as Procore
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Professional, confident demeanor with clients, trade partners, and teammates
Ability to communicate sensitive information tactfully and professionally
Desire to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility

Experience working for a commercial General Contractor
