Neuropsychologist
Cook Children's Health Care System is dedicated to providing advanced healthcare services for children. The Neuropsychologist is responsible for direct patient care, administering and interpreting neuropsychological tests, and supervising technicians while working closely with families to discuss results.

Responsibilities
Administer, score, and interpret neuropsychological testing with patients (ages 3 -18 years old)
Work closely with families/caregivers to discuss results
Supervise technicians (student externs, post-doctoral fellows, Licensed Psychological Associates, etc.)
Qualification
Required
PhD or PsyD in Psychology from an accredited institution
Licensed Psychologist in the state of Texas
An internship, or its equivalent, in a clinically relevant area of professional psychology (50% neuropsychology)
Two full-time years of pre- or post-doc experience/specialized training in neuropsychology. Two years must include supervision by a board-certified neuropsychologist
{If neuropsychologist trained before 2001} two or more years of appropriate supervised training applying neuropsychological services in a clinical setting in lieu of the 2 years pre- and post-doctoral training can be applied
Training in child growth and development required
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a desire to develop outstanding leadership skills
Demonstrate commitment to high standards of patient care and other customer relations practice
Basic Life Support CPR certification required prior to start
Preferred
Prior experience in pediatric setting, preferred
