Responsibilities
Engineering, design, and fabrication of automated machinery
Develop machine drawings, 3D modeling, assembly and detail drawings
Manage projects from quote to FAT (Factory Acceptance Test)
Interface with manufacturing to ensure parts are properly fabricated, machined, and assembled. This will include updating revisions to mechanical design specifications/drawings
Interface with assembly department to conduct machine testing and proper operation
Interface with other departments e.g., controls, parts, purchasing, etc., to coordinate work/projects and ensure customer on-time delivery
Create and maintain Bill of Materials
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology (BSME or BSMET), or similar engineering or technical degree from an accredited four-year college or university or equivalent industry experience in mechanical design required
At least 3 years' experience in design of automated industrial machinery
Experience using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor and/or SolidWorks
General knowledge of manufacturing processes, techniques, and practices
Strong analytical skills, ability to utilize knowledge to provide creative design ideas
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desire to be hands-on with equipment building & design, ability to work both independently and in a team environment
