Responsibilities

Assists in breast biopsy procedures to include needle localizations, stereotactic biopsies, and ductograms
Instructs and positions patients to obtain acceptable radiographs of diagnostic quality
Ensures work area meets appropriate standards of safety, equipment supply and cleanliness levels
Manually enters data ensuring proper preparation for dictation and billing

Required

Operates x-ray equipment to perform mammograms
Develops film and completes paperwork
Assists in breast biopsy procedures to include needle localizations, stereotactic biopsies, and ductograms
Instructs and positions patients to obtain acceptable radiographs of diagnostic quality
Ensures work area meets appropriate standards of safety, equipment supply and cleanliness levels
Manually enters data ensuring proper preparation for dictation and billing
ARRT, RT(M), or equivalent formal training as accepted under the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA)
