The role involves operating and maintaining the coil shear line, ensuring quality and efficiency, and managing inventory of materials.

Responsibilities
Cuts aluminum coils into job size sheets
Receives and stores all incoming coil and sheet metal
Maintains coil shear line for efficient and effective operation and minimum down time
Assist in end of month and year end inventory count
Selects proper metal coil by reviewing customer/production order requirements, ensuring that the raw material is in compliance with required specifications
Set up, operate and maintain the coil shear to cut aluminum sheets to job specifications while ensuring optimum quality, efficiency/productivity, and minimizing down time
Inspects cut sheets to ensure they are flat and square using proper tools as needed
Uses a fork lift to receive and stack coil aluminum in designated storage area in an efficient means ensuring the coils are easily accessed
Issues and delivers materials safely ensuring system is updated reflecting volume issued to appropriate job number(s)
Recycles and salvages scrapped metals from production by ensuring that maximum price is attained in the market for scrap thru scrap sale
Performs other duties as required
