LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a Real Estate Company seeking a Staff Property Accountant. This role is responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential properties, ensuring accurate financial transactions, and leading the month-end close process.

Responsibilities

Responsible for a portfolio of commercial and residential properties
Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions related to the assigned properties
Prepare and review journal entries to capture property-related transactions and adjustments
Maintain accurate and detailed supporting documentation
Lead and participate in the month-end close process for the assigned portfolio
Ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data
Prepare comprehensive financial statement packages for assigned properties
Analyze variances and provide explanations for management review

Qualification

Accounting backgroundReal estate experiencePublic accounting experienceCPA designationMRI software proficiency

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA designation or progress toward certification is a plus
Real estate background or strong accounting foundation with a focus on real estate
Experience with public accounting is highly desirable
Proficient in property management software, preferably MRI
