Responsibilities
Through a deep understanding of sensors and instrumentation, identify the impediments to improved performance and develop new architectures and circuits to advance the technology
Troubleshoot complex issues to root cause and support the product team in resolution
Develop and release new vacuum sensing products that deliver market advantages in performance, cost, and size
Participate as a key member of multi-disciplinary product teams, with responsibility for the electronics development and release
Qualification
Required
Deep technical background in low-noise electronics and precision sensors, as well as significant experience with embedded microprocessors
Extensive experience supporting multidisciplinary products
Ability to logically work through challenging troubleshooting and problem-solving activities
Strong product-level technical skills and some cross-discipline experience, including electronics, firmware, mechanical, and sensors
Hands-on engineering skills, capable of test development, setup, and execution
Good understanding of manufacturing systems and documentation control, BOM structures, and ECO processes
The person must be self-motivated, have an intense customer/product focus, and work well as part of a team
Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable leading technical discussions
BS or higher in Engineering with 6+ years of experience
Preferred
Experience with sensors and instrumentation, vacuum systems, or semiconductor capital equipment
