Responsibilities
Prosecuting felony domestic violence cases that include, but are not limited to, Attempted Murder, Stalking, Assault, Arson, Burglary and Criminal Contempt
Representing the District Attorney at Supreme Court arraignments, pre-trial hearings, and bench and jury trials
Engaging in motion practice and complying with discovery obligations
Negotiating dispositions
Qualification
Required
J.D. degree
Active member of the New York State bar in good standing
At least 3 years of experience as a prosecutor
United States citizenship
New York State residency
Preferred
Experience working with victims of domestic violence
Substantial trial experience
Familiarity with the rules of evidence, including forfeiture by wrongdoing and hearsay exceptions
Excellent case-management skills and experience handling a heavy caseload
